Dodger Theatricals

Dodger Theatricals is a producing partnership hatched at BAM in 1978 by Michael David, Edward Strong, Rocco Landesman,
 Des McAnuff, Doug Johnson and Sherman Warner.

The Dodgers grew, migrated to the NY Shakespeare Festival, then to off- and on-Broadway, where their productions have garnered a host of national (Tony, Drama Critics Circle’, Obie) and international (Olivier, Helpmann and Dora) awards. On Broadway, they are currently producing Matilda with the RSC, and Jersey Boys, now in its ninth year.

Other Broadway: The Farnsworth Invention, Jesus Christ Superstar, 42nd Street, Urinetown, Dracula, Jesus Christ Superstar, Into the Woods (1987 and 2002), The Music Man, Titanic, Wrong Mountain, Footloose, Mandy Patinkin, High Society, 1776, ...Forum, The King and I, The Who’s Tommy, Ralph Fiennes’ Hamlet, Guys and Dolls, Once Upon a Mattress, How to succeed..., Jelly’s Last Jam, The Secret Garden, Prelude to a Kiss, The Gospel at Colonus, Big River and Pump Boys and Dinettes.

Off-Broadway: American premieres of Barrie Keefe’s Gimme Shelter, Wolfgang Hildesheimer’s Mary Stuartand The Right Size’s Do You Come Here Often?

Other: Royal Court Classics at the Duke of York’s Theatre. In addition to Jersey Boys in the West End, the Dodgers are producers of current Jersey Boys productions on Broadway, in Las Vegas, Holland, Korea and a touring company in North America. They have recently hung out their own shingle in Covent Garden.
