Training: Jon trained as an actor at the Guildford School Of Acting, having first gained a BA(Hons) in English and Drama from the University Of Surrey (Froebel College, London).

Directing includes: Associate Director on Broadway transfer of Driving Miss Daisy (Wyndhams Theatre) with Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones, Associate Director on Driving Miss Daisy (UK Tour), Resident Director on Fame (Aldwych Theatre), Buddy (Channel Islands), The CBeebies Television Pantomime Jack and Jill (BBC1 and CBeebies), Children’s Director for Tommy (UK tour), Sleeping Beauty (The Grand, Blackpool), Dick Whittington (The Grand, Blackpool; and The Anvil, Basingstoke); and Cinderella (Grimsby Auditorium).

West End acting includes: Original Cast of Copacabana, understudied/played the lead role, Tony (Prince Of Wales Theatre). Young Alph in original cast of Lautec (Shaftesbury Theatre); Mr. Myers in Fame (Aldwych Theatre).

Other acting includes: The Director in The Sunshine Boys with Ron Moody and Brian Murphy (UK Tour), Bill Snibson in Me and My Girl (Stella Award for Best Actor Of The Year), Max in Lend Me A Tenor, Alex in Aspects of Love (all Palace Theatre, Westcliff); Brad in The Rocky Horror Show (Casino De Paris in Paris, and Italy), Jerry Allison in Buddy (original UK tour).

Television and film includes: Doctors (BBC1), Eastenders (BBC1), Only Darkness (Splendid Films).

Jon is married to director Alison Pollard, with whom he co-produced their children Jack and Olivia.
